State auditor shot dead in Isabela City, Basilan
ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines—A government auditor of Isabela City in Basilan was killed when shot by a still unidentified man here at around 7 p.m. Thursday.
Chief Inspector Ariel Huesca, spokesperson for the police in Western Mindanao, identified the victim as Ester Pierra Galaroza, 54.
The victim’s companion, Renella Hashim Abella, 52, also a state auditor, was unhurt.
Huesca said the killing happened at the Santa Cruz public market here.
Galaroza was driving her car when the attacker pumped bullets at the rear end of the vehicle.
