Fire hits residential area in Manila

MANILA, Philippines—One person was hurt after fire hit a residential area early Tuesday in Pandacan, Manila, a radio report said.

It said the ongoing fire has destroyed a still undetermined number of houses along Alley 2, Barrio Obrero street in Barangay (village) 837.

Firefighters are currently containing the blaze,  which reached the third alarm as of 8 a.m.

The report, however, did not give further details on the casualty and cause of the fire.
