Fire hits residential area in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines—Fire hit a residential area near Trinoma mall on Saturday afternoon in Quezon City.

A Quezon City Fire Station official, who requested anonymity for lack of authority to speak on the matter, told INQUIRER.net in a phone interview that the blaze broke out in Sitio San Roque in Barangay (village) Bagong Pag-asa.

He said the fire, which reached the third alarm, occurred behind a Quezon City fire station near Trinoma mall along North Avenue.

It started at 5:30 p.m. and was put out by the firefighters an hour after at 6:30 p.m.
