120 families homeless after Pasay City fire
MANILA, Philippines—Some 120 families were rendered homeless when a fire gutted Wednesday noon at least 60 houses in a residential compound in Pasay City.
A Pasay Fire Department official said in a phone interview that the fire that reached third alarm razed Tiedra compound on Protacio Street.
The Pasay fire official told INQUIRER.net that the blaze, which started at 11:08 a.m., lasted for three hours. It was put out at 2:30 p.m.
A radio report said three were left injured in the incident, including a 75-year-old woman.
According to the report, Major Douglas Giua, of the Pasay Fire Department, P800,000 worth of damage was estimated by the fire officials.
