MANILA, Philippines—A man tried to jump off the roof of the Light Rail Train station in Manila, citing family problem as reason, Radyo Inquirer 990 AM reported Tuesday.

Around  9 a.m., Paolo Ignacio, 28, was found by Metro Manila Development Authority and Manila Bureau of Fire Protection personnel on the roof of the UN Avenue station along Taft Avenue.

According to the report, Ignacio, a resident of Tondo, Manila, lamented that he had problems with his family and that he wanted to go home to his province in Masbate.

But after 30 minutes of negotiations with BFP personnel, the man agreed to get off the roof.

Ignacio was under the custody of authorities.

The incident did not cause interruptions in the operation of LRT line 1. With Erwin Aguilon, Radyo Inquirer 990Am
