Truck carrying 14,000 liters of oil falls on its side

MANILA, Philippines–A gas delivery truck carrying more than 14,000 liters of oil products fell on its side Friday afternoon along Payatas road in Quezon City, a radio report said.

The truck, owned by Jeafer Gas Station Delivery, reportedly contained 12,000 liters of gasoline and 2,000 liters of kerosene.

Metro Manila Development Authority and Bureau of Fire personnel rushed to the scene.

To prevent fire due to oil leaks, the BFP began spraying Aqueous Film-forming Foam, a chemical firefighting foam, on the tanker.

Reports said Payatas road was closed while clean-up operations were being done.
