Book Share to start next week
THE Reading Ruffolos (www.readingruffolos.com), an advocacy and legacy blog started by Cris Evert Lato-Ruffolo, will be hosting the first ever “Book Share” on Jan. 16 at 1:30 p.m. at the American Corner Library of the University of San Carlos (USC) on P. Del Rosario Street, Cebu City.
Book Share is a platform for people from all walks of life to examine a particular book and listen to different opinions and views presented by invited presenters called book sharers.
The endeavor is organized by The Reading Ruffolos (TRR), in partnership with the different organizations and institutions. For its January run, TRR has partnered with USC-American Corner Library and will feature Harper Lee’s To Kill A Mockingbird.
“Book Share was inspired by the idea of making people active readers as opposed to being just passive readers. The idea was to create pockets of book sharing sessions where people from different backgrounds can share their views and opinions about a book and relate these to their own life experiences,” said Lato-Ruffolo.
