Former President Manuel A. Roxas was born on Jan. 1, 1892. He was elected President in 1946 and is recognized as the first President of the Third Philippine Republic. Roxas died of a heart attack while delivering a speech on April 15, 1948. Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
