Mandaue City-jcc rules tuburan chess tourney

TEAM MANDAUE City-JCC emerged the best in last weekend’s Mayor Democrito “Aljun” Diamante and Vice Mayor Danny Diamante Inter Towns-Cities Team Chess Tournament held in Tuburan town, northwestern Cebu.

Mandaue City-JCC, manned by Eden Diano, Rommel Ganzon, junior player Diego Claro and Harold Diano, finished with 8.0 points after nine rounds to rule the event. With the win, Team Mandaue City-JCC pocketed P30,000 while runner-up Toledo City went home with P20,000. Host team Tuburan won P10,000 for finishing third./CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
