Report: Israel shells Lebanon after rockets fired
BEIRUT — Lebanon’s state news agency says Israeli tanks have shelled a Lebanese border area after rockets hit Israel.
The agency said that over 20 shells hit the mountainous, rugged area around the southern Lebanese border area of Rachaya early Sunday. Israeli police said two rockets were fired from the area toward Israel before the shelling began.

There were no reports of injuries on the Lebanese or Israeli side.
Incidences of rockets fired from Lebanon to Israel have been infrequent since the countries concluded a three-week summer war in 2006.
