National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Chief Claro V. Maranan has organized a team, called “Task Force Pablo,” that will proceed to Davao City on Dec. 27 to 30 to look into the progress of projects being implemented for survivors of Typhoon “Pablo.”
The team will include other NIA officials.
In a statement, the NIA said it would reshuffle four of its irrigation management officers to ensure an unbiased assessment of the projects.
Maranan said he would meet with farmers on Dec. 29 to get their feedback on the projects.
Projects in three regions received an initial funding of P500 million. The Department of Budget and Management will release another P500 million.
