THE North Leg of the North vs. South Skateboard Festival presented by Positive Skateboarding in cooperation with G-Concept, will blast off today at the Lapu-lapu City Auditorium in Lapu-lapu City.
Today’s event is the culmination of the two-part spectacle being sponsored by Eyeberry as the first one unfolded last Dec. 23 in Naga City Cebu.
Skateboarders coming from Apas, Banilad, Busay, Capitol Site, Cogon-Ramos, Day-as, Ermita, Hippodromo, Kalubihan, Kamagayan, Kamputhaw, Kasambagan, Lahug, Lorega-San Miguel, Barrio Luz, Mabolo, Pahina Central, Pari-an, Sambag 1 and 2, San Antonio, San Roque, Santa Cruz, Santo Nino, Talamban, Tejero, Tinago, T. Padilla, Zapatera, Carreta, Mandaue City, Lapu-lapu City, Consolacion, Lilo-an, Carmen and Danao City are expected to show their wares today as they vie for recognition in this fast growing extreme sport.
Philip Jaca of Positive Skateboarding said they aim to unite the skateboarders from the south and northern part of Cebu through this event.
Registration for class A and B entries is pegged at P100, while spectators will be charged P50. /Correspondent Jade S. Violeta
