From Dec. 21, 2012, to Jan. 5, 2013, the Department of Health recorded a total of 931 New Year-related injuries. Of the total cases, 904 were due to fireworks, 25 from stray bullets, while 2 were cases of firecracker ingestion.—Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
