Top junior netters clash in PSC-Philta tourney today
TOP JUNIOR netters in the country will compete against each other in their quests for a year-ending championship title as the Philippine Sports Commission and Philippine Tennis Association’s National Age Group unfolds today at the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center in Manila.
The event is a Philta Group 1 tilt and will be staged under the auspices of tournament director Loida Mallare and tournament referee Juanito “Titong” Cansino, Jr.
Heading the list in the premier Boys’ 18-Under division are the seeded players in the age bracket, Eric Jed Olivarez, Marcen Gonzales, Betto Orendain and Emmanuel Vacalares, Jr.
In the distaff side, the cast of participants is spearheaded by division Ma.Dominique Ong of St. Paul University-Manila, San Sebastian Stags’ Erika Manduriao, Moira Jessy Velicaria, Isabella Mendoza and Nicole Amistad. /Correspondent Jade S. Violeta
