NORFIL Foundation, a social welfare agency in Lapu-Lapu City, is calling the attention of the parents and relatives of the children who are under its care.
A baby boy identified as Lenn Gabriel Oppus was found by Anna Mae Pollido Amaneo and Ariel Cahilog Martinez last Oct. 13 at 9:30 p.m. in front of the house of Ferdinand Cahilog in sitio Tacan, barangay Ibo, Lapu-Lapu City. The baby was estimated to be 2-3 week old then. He is now under the care of Norfil Foundation Inc. on Airbase Road, sitio Sangi, barangay Pajo, Lapu-Lapu City.
Bencin Diolas Ymbong, 4 years and 9 months old and his sister Jamaica Diolas, 3 years and 1 month old were left by their father Brendo Ymbong of barangay Canjulao, Lapu-Lapu City on June 11, 2013 to their paternal grandmother. However, the grandmother turned over the children to Norfil Foundation because of her inability to take care of them. Their mother, Mercedita Diolas, is already dead.
The Norfil Foundation is requesting the parents or relatives to visit their office or contact social workers Angelina Dungog, Sheryl Gacita and Griffith Riconalla at 3401170 or 3405722 from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Failure of the parties to appear within three months may compel the Department of Social Welfare and Development to issue a certification that the children are legally available for adoption based on Republic Act 9523.
