DTCC pair wins anew in Manila

JUST days after winning a title in the prestigious 68th Australian DanceSport Championship at the Hisense Arena in Melbourne, Australia, DanceSport Team Cebu City (DTCC) members and Philippine National Dancesports team mainstays Wilbert Aunzo and Pearl Caneda again hugged the limelight last Sunday as they took home the championship title from Manila.
The former Tejero scavenger-turned top dancesports bet Aunzo, and Caneda came out as champions in the Amateur Latin Division in the recent 2nd Christmas Ball Ballroom Showdance Competition at the New Dance Vision Arena at N. Domingo st. cor. Paterno St. in San Juan City, Manila.
Caneda and Aunzo, a nine-time winning pair in the Philippine Dancesport Championships in the youth category, also finished second place in the Standard Amateur category.
Their DTCC teammates, Lowen Rendon and Desiree Seraga, finished fifth in the Amateur Latin category of the event. Correspondent JADE S. VIOLETA
