Lee, Andrin bag top plums in Run for Yolanda Victims

YOUNG GUNS were in the spotlight in yesterday’s Alphans Run: Run For Yolanda Victims as Prince Joey Lee and Lovely Andrin topped the 12-kilometer race that ended at the Ayala Center Cebu’s The Terraces.
Lee clocked 41:34 to win the men’s crown while the multi-titled Andrin topped the distaff side with a time of 53:00.
Lee outran veteran ultra marathoner Noel Tillor, who finished second with a time of 42:22, and Paul James Zafico, who clocked  43:07 for third place.
Keisha Mae Delechos (53:19) placed second to Andrin while  older sister Jhean Andrin placed third with a time of 55:52.
The youngest Cherry Andrin topped the 6k race with a time of 25:01 while Michael Largo emerged the fastest in the men’s category with a time of 20:11.
John Cliff Debolusan topped the 3k race with a time of 09:53 while Regine Piezas dominated the distaff side by clocking 21:41.
This event is the second race organized by the Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity and Sorority.  They also staged a fund-raising running event last August.
The funds that were raised yesterday  will be used to purchase construction materials for the rebuilding efforts in typhoon-ravaged  Tacloban City and Maya town in northern Cebu./CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
