Lacson says he won’t harm Rosebud Ong

MANILA, Philippines — Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson assured on Wednesday that he would not do harm on Mary “Rosebud” Ong, whom he lambasted for her “KSP” posturing.

KSP stands for “kulang sa pansin”, a colloquial term for a person seeking for attention.

“I will never waste my time as I had never done in the past to even mind her ‘KSP’ posturing, much less harm her,” said Lacson.

Ong claimed that her life would be in danger with the senator now that she is out of government’s witness protection program.

But Lacson said, “She has been lying through her teeth all these years and I see no sane reason why she should be believed now.”

Lacson said he only met Ong once and only for five minutes while they were serving in the defunct Task Force Habagat more than 15 years ago.

One of his junior officers then and now Senior Superintendent Gilbert Cruz, Lacson said, brought Ong to his office to provide intelligence information that led to the confiscation of 30 kilograms of methamphetamine more commonly known as “shabu.”

“That’s just about it. She was never my intelligence agent contrary to her assertions,” said the senator.

“The fact is, she was among a number of characters in the mold of Ador Mawanay who was paid and utilized by Mike Arroyo and his wife GMA in pursuing their relentless and sinister efforts to vent their hatred towards me,” he added.

GMA is former President and now Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
