PNP installs 11 officers to new posts

MANILA, Philippines – Philippine National Police chief Director General Alan Purisima officially installed Wednesday 11 senior police officials to new posts following the recent retirement of some police directorial staff.

At the star lounge of the PNP headquarters in Camp Crame, Purisima led the reorganization of officials occupying third level positions.

This was after the PNP chief approved the new designations upon the recommendation of the PNP Senior Officers Placement and Promotion Board.

According to PNP spokesperson Reuben Theodore Sindac, the reorganization was triggered by the recent retirement of former second in Command, Police Deputy Director General Ager Ontog, and three members of the PNP Directorial Staff.

Three police officials were designated to top posts in the PNP Command Group:

Police Deputy Director General Felipe Rojas Jr.—elevated to second in command of the PNP as Deputy Chief for Administration (TDCA)

Police Deputy Director General Leonardo Espina—third in command as the Deputy Chief for Operations (TDCO)

Police Chief Superintendent Marcelo Garbo—fourth in command as the Acting Chief of Directorial Staff (TCDS)

Purisima also named other senior police officials to new posts in the PNP Directorial Staff, Police Regional Office and National Support Units.

Police Director Francisco Uyami Jr.—Director for Research and Development (DRD)

Chief Superintendent Benjamin Magalong—acting Director of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)

Chief Superintendent Charles Calima—acting Director for Intelligence (DI)

Chief Superintendent Ricardo C Marquez—acting Director for Operations (DO)

Chief Superintendent Alex Paul Monteagudo—acting Director for Human Resource and Doctrine Development (DHRRD)

Chief Superintendent Jaime Morente—acting Director for Personnel and Records Management (DPRM)

Chief Superintendent Josephus Angan—acting Regional Director of Western Visayas Police Regional Office

Chief Superintendent Isagani Nerez—acting Regional Director Cordillera Police Regional Office
