3-year-old boy with leukemia asks for help
MANILA, Philippines—Three-year-old Carl Gabrielle Ombao was initially diagnosed as suffering from anemia. A more detailed test, however, showed that he has high-risk acute leukemia.
Every three months, he undergoes oral chemotherapy at Philippine General Hospital. Each session costs P9,000.
In addition, he has to undergo bone marrow testing at the National Kidney Institute every six months.
His parents, Cristel Anne Barro and Omar Ombao, work as crew members at a fast-food restaurant in Parañaque City.
Both are appealing for help from Inquirer readers for their son’s medical bills.
The couple can be contacted at 09326121457 or 09333015739. Donations can be deposited in Omar Ombao’s bank account with the Bank of the Philippine Islands (Makati City branch, account number 3966115535).
