Military’s dental detachment gets face-lift
THE dental detachment of Philippine Army’s 53rd Engineering Brigade is now equipped with a better dental facility.
The detachment underwent renovation by the word community service (WCS) program between the Rotary Club of Gobo South Japan and Rotary Club of Mactan.
Past WCS chairman Takashi Terashita and Rotary Club of Mactan’s change maker president Ervilito Maderazo handed over the newly renovated clinic to Brig. Gen. Mariano Veloria, the brigade commander.
Maj. Raul Ciño, chaplain of the Central Command, led the blessing of the building.
“This joint project strengthens the good relationship between the Rotary and the 53rd Enginering Brigade, particularly the army dental team that has been the Rotary Club of Mactan’s partner in dental missions and oral hygiene programs,” Maderazo said.
Maj. Eisen Perdido, the new brigade dental surgeon, facilitated the request for renovation, which he also supervised.
