Baby Warriors fall short in bid for Milo Passerelle title
THE UNIVERSITY of San Carlos (USC) Baby Warriors proved to be a no match for the mighty Chiang Kai Shek College (CKSC) as the Manila powerhouse routed the Cebuanos, 79-50, en route to capturing the Passerelle division’s national crown in the 2013 Milo-backed BEST Twin Tournament last Sunday at the University of Immaculate Conception gym in San Fernando, Pampanga.
USC hung around in the first period, 14-15, but CKSC imposed its will in the second canto, where versatile two-guard John Gallego scored 12 of his 22 points to power his team to a 37-22 halftime lead.
CKSC was a man short in the third period but nevertheless flourished as it upped its lead to 19, 54-35, behind the efforts of power player Jonas Tibayan and Francis Bait.
