MANILA, Philippines—For the next two to three days, generally good weather is expected to prevail over the country except in northern Luzon where the tail-end of a cold front could bring rain on Monday, the weather bureau said.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) issued a gale warning over the northern and eastern seaboards of northern Luzon where strong to gale force winds caused by the amihan (northeast monsoon) surge may be expected.

Forecaster Fernando Cada told the Inquirer Pagasa had not monitored any weather disturbance anywhere near the Philippine area of responsibility.

“Should a low pressure area form, there is a very low chance of it developing into a tropical cyclone at this time,” said Cada, who added that there were no cloud clusters monitored over the Marianas Islands and Guam, where most LPAs form.

Generally good weather, he said, may be anticipated over most of the country. “The current weather condition would prevail for the next two or three days,” he said.
