LPA seen off Surigao City–Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines – A low pressure area was spotted off Surigao City Saturday, the state weather bureau said.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Service Administration said the LPA was observed 100 kilometers east of Surigao City as of 4 a.m.

Palawan, the Visayas, Bicol, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao and Caraga will experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rainshowers.

Pagasa said thunderstorms may trigger flashfloods and landslides in these areas.

As for Luzon, the tail-end of a cold front will affect its northern part, Pagasa said in its forecast.

The rest of luzon will experience light rains.

Metro manila, Mimaropa, Calabarzon and the province of Aurora will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.
