MANILA, Philippines – A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck a town in North Cotabato Thursday.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the tremor was tectonic in origin and hit Carmen, North Cotabato (07.30°N, 124.76°E – 011 km N 19° W of the town) at 9:45 a.m.
It has a depth of 001 km, Phivolcs said.
No damage to property was reported.
