Caritas Manila, which will be sending P35-million in cash and in-kind donations to the victims of Supertyphoon “Yolanda” in partnership with CBCP-NASSA, the Archdiocese of Manila and Metro Manila’s Social Action Centers, is accepting donations from the public to help survivors of the calamity.

According to Rev. Fr. Anton CT Pascual, executive director of Caritas Manila and president of Radio Veritas, the funds will be divided into six dioceses and three archdioceses in the Visayas which were devastated by the typhoon.
Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle ordered the immediate release of a P5 million initial fund for the relief operations in Ormoc, Antique, Capiz, Aklan, Iloilo, Bantayan Island in Bogo, Cebu, Guiuan, Eastern Samar, Naval, Coron, Busuanga and Calamian Group of Islands all in Palawan.
Around 15,000 Caritas Damayan relief bags worth P8 million are ready for disposal to help feed the victims especially in Tacloban and Ormoc in Leyte; Aklan, Capiz, Corona and Busuanga in Palawan, Bantayan Island and Bogo in Cebu, Iloilo, Eastern Samar, Naval in Biliran and Antique.
