LRT repairs may last through the night—spokesman

MANILA, Philippines – Repairs are ongoing in several stations of the Light Rail Transit Authority and may likely take the whole night, a spokesman said.

Attorney Hernando Cabrera said on Twitter that Balintawak and Roosevelt stations remain closed to passengers due to a signaling problem detected in Monumento.

As a result, Cabrera said A. Santos, R. Papa, 5th Ave, Monumento, Balintawak at Roosevelt were closed as early as 11:30 a.m.

At around 4 p.m., Cabrera said trips were extended until Monumento station, but Balintawak and Roosevelt remain closed.

“Balintawak and Roosevelt Stations may open tomorrow (Saturday),” he said.
