QC police launch manhunt for two escaped inmates

MANILA, Philippines—The Quezon City Police District launched a manhunt operation to track down two of its inmates who bolted out from jail Thursday evening, an official said.

The prisoners, from the jail facility of QCPD-Station 1, allegedly escaped by sawing the steel bars of their cell, said Police Senior Superintendent Richard Alabano, Quezon City Police District director.

The names of the escapees, however, were not immediately available as of posting time.
