/ 10:52 PM November 12, 2013

The National Bureau of Investigation was created on this day 77 years ago. Established upon the approval of Commonwealth Act No. 181 on Nov. 13, 1936, it was patterned after the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation. Originally, 45 men were selected as agents from among 300 applicants. It was later reorganized into the Bureau of Investigation in 1947 and renamed the NBI later that same year. Its main office is located on Taft Avenue, Manila. Schatzi Quodala, Inquirer Research
