Inquirer launches relief drive to help typhoon victims

The Philippine Daily Inquirer is extending relief to victims of Supertyphoon “Yolanda,” which made a series of landfalls in the Visayas region as early as Friday morning.

Yolanda is considered the world’s strongest typhoon for 2013, equivalent to a Category 5 hurricane. It has brought down communication and power lines and destroyed crops, buildings and houses.

The Inquirer is accepting cash donations which may be deposited in the Inquirer Help Fund’s Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) current account No. 4951-0067-56, under the name Philippine Daily Inquirer Inc., or in its Metrobank current account No. 7286-8109-30, also under the name of Philippine Daily Inquirer Inc.

Donations in kind may be sent directly to the Philippine Red Cross main office at Bonifacio Drive, Port Area, Manila.

For inquiries, please call PDI corporate affairs at 897-8808 or 899-4426 and look for Bianca Kasilag or Connie Kalagayan.
