Cebuanos falter at the hands of Agila-FC

THE Cebu Queen City United Football Club (CQCU-FC) suffered a stinging, 0-1 loss to Agila Football Club last Tuesday in the final elimination round match of the United Football League at the Emperador Stadium in Taguig City.

Wanyou Yannick Vagbe accounted for Agila’s winning goal when he found the back of the net in the nine-minute mark.

Ariel Cahilig almost put QCU-FC on top with his close attempt in the fourth minute. Agila FC’s goal keeper Marc Poli though, successfully blocked the shot as well as those from Marion Rey Cubelo and Junard Aguilar in the 13th and 15th minute.

QCU-FC had 12 attempts but failed to convert even one while Agila FC only had five attempts and had one conversion.

Meanwhile, Stallions FC won over the Philippine Air Force, 3-0, when the latter walked out of the match in the second half after being slapped with five red cards and a single yellow card.

The win allowed the Santa Lucia Stallions FC to retake the lead from CQCU-FC.

Stallions FC had nine points and trailed by CQCU-FC ( 7 points), PAF FC (6 pts), Agila FC (4 pts) and Bright Star FC (2 pts.) /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
