Calapan bares ‘hidden treasure’
OFFICIALS of Calapan City announced the recent discovery of an unexplored tourist spot in the northern part of the city, the Calaungan Lake.
In a press statement, Mayor Paulino Salvador Leachon said the lake is in Barangay Wawa and has not been explored for tourism.
The lake was discovered when the city hosted the long gown competition recently of the Ms Earth Philippines’ pageant.
Contestants were taken to a cruise in the lake.
