USC jins remain on top in PTL

/ 06:31 AM November 04, 2013

THE UNIVERSITY of San Carlos (USC) cemented its hold of the top spot in the cadet boys division of the 2013 Smart-Philippine Taekwondo League (PTL) as it coasted to victory without a sweat during the penultimate leg yesterday at the SM City in Consolacion town, northern Cebu.

The USC jins scored their third straight victory in as many games as they won via default versus the San Roque team in the event being supported by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) and the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC).

The University of Cebu (UC), meanwhile, stayed within striking distance as it mercilessly clobbered the Cebu Cherish team to score its second straight win.

With the loss, the Cebu Cherish team now holds a 2-2 (win-loss) card in the 12-to-14-year-old cadet division.

In the idle cadet girls division, currently leading the pack is the Divino team with a 2-0 record followed by UC at second with 1-1, Cabancalan NHS with 1-2 and St. Theresa’s College with 0-1. /Correspondent Jade S. Violeta
