MAN KILLED OUTSIDE HOME
A 32-YEAR-OLD man was fatally shot outside his house in barangay Bulinawan, Carcar City, southern Cebu.
Personal grudges could be the motive in the killing of Jundy Cañete, police said.
Police said Cañete had just stepped out of his house when the assailant appeared and shot the victim repeatedly Friday evening.
The victim was taken to the Carcar Provincial Hospital but did not make it alive.

2 FALL IN MANDAUE DRUG BUST
TWO men were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in barangay Banilad, Mandaue City last Friday afternoon.
Robert Lim, 40, and Bobby Martin, 35, had just sold a pack of suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer when they were arrested.
Seized from the two men were two sachets of suspected shabu, drug-sniffing paraphernalia and the P150 buy-bust money.
The two men are detained at the Casuntingan Police Station.
Police said Lim had eluded several attempts to arrest him. He was described as a level two drug pusher who can dispose of at least 200 grams of shabu a week./CORRESPONDENT NORMAN V. MENDOZA
AMERICAN HURT IN ROAD MISHAP
A 52-YEAR-OLD American national was injured when the Suzuki pickup truck he was driving hit a tree stump in barangay Azucena, Barili town, southwest Cebu Friday night.
Kenneth Brown sustained bruises in the chest.
Police said Brown fell asleep at the wheel causing the vehicle to swerve off the road and ram onto the tree stump./CORRESPONDENT CHRISTINE M. ESTRELLA
