Policewoman found dead inside Camp Crame crime lab
MANILA, Philippines—A female police official was found dead early Thursday after she allegedly committed suicide inside the crime laboratory office in Camp Crame, Quezon City, a Philippine National Police official said.
Police Senior Superintendent Wilben Mayor, PNP spokesman, identified the victim as Police Inspector Romelou Medina, currently assigned in Camp Crame’s Crime Laboratory department as trainee.
Her body was discovered lying on the floor by Police Officer 1 Rhea Demaano around 7:30 a.m. when she got to the finance section of the Crime Laboratory office.
Medina sustained a bullet wound to her temple.
Mayor said Medina slept inside the office last night.
The case was placed for further investigation.
