Nearly 3,000 aftershocks recorded after Bohol quake
MANILA, Philippines – Nearly 3,000 aftershocks were recorded since the 7.2 magnitude earthquake hit Bohol last October 15.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said that as of 12a.m., there were 2,937 aftershocks from the quake, 78 of which were felt.
Death toll remained at 215 – 201 from Bohol, 13 from Cebu and 1 in Siquijor. There were 708 injured.
Affected persons rose to 3,217,094 persons, with 105,186 housed in evacuation centers.
Damage to property remained at P2.2 billion worth of damaged roads, bridges, flood control school buildings hospitals and other buildings. In Bohol, damage to property was at P1.383 billion.
