2 men caught looting CCMC
TWO men were allegedly caught looting the abandoned Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC).
One of the two men identified as Ricky Casnillas of barangay Calamba, Cebu City was arrested by security guard Efren Seira.
The 300-bed CCMC building has been declared unfit for occupancy due to the damage caused by last week’s earthquake.
Police said Seira spotted two men inside the CCMC around 1 a.m. Wednesday.
The security guard called the attention of the two men who scampered away.
Seira gave chase and cornered Casnillas while his cohort was able to escape with a stainless stretcher worth P8,000, said SPO4 Rene Serna, desk officer of the Carbon Police Station.
