/ 07:47 AM September 01, 2011

FOUR-TIME champions Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu and the University of the Visayas emerged as the top seeds in the Passerelle division of the Milo-backed BEST Twin Tournament after blasting separate foes over the weekend at the SHS campus along Mango Avenue.

The Magis Eagles coasted to their fifth straight win via a 74-18 thrashing of Salazar College of Science and Institute of Technology (SCSIT) in Group A while UV bested the University of San Carlos-North, 59-45 to top Group B.

After surviving a scare from CEC in their previous game, the Magis Eagles vented their ire on a hapless SCSIT side, streaking to a 24-3 lead after the first period and 40-7 at halftime. Since then, it was cruise control all the way to the final buzzer.
