AN HOUR-long fire gobbled up seven houses in Valenzuela City on Friday morning, destroying at least P1.5 million worth of property.
No casualty was reported in the fire that started at 8:44 a.m. from the two-story house of Judillo Natividad on L. Urrutia Street in Barangay Arkong Bato, said arson investigator FO3 Elmer Montebon.
An initial investigation showed that the fire was caused by a lighted mosquito coil in Natividad’s house.
The blaze then quickly crossed over to the adjacent houses.
Montebon said the residents’ cooperation helped firefighters in immediately putting the fire out.
