4.8-magnitude quake rattles Tagbilaran City

MANILA, Philippines – A 4.8-magnitude earthquake rattled Tagbilaran City on Sunday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.

According to Phivolcs, the quake’s location was at 09.79°N, 123.66°E – 027 kilometers N 54° west of Tagbilaran and it has a depth of 01 kilometer.

It was tectonic in origin.

The tremor that happened at 4:05 p.m. was an aftershock of the 7.2-magnitude Bohol earthquake last October 15.

Intensity III was recorded in Kabangkalan, Negros Occidental and Intensity II was felt in Hibok-hibok, Camiguin, Iloilo City.
