Did you know: Father of the Tagalog Short Story

Dubbed “Father of the Tagalog Short Story,” Deogracias Rosario was born on Oct. 17, 1894, in Tondo, Manila. He wrote more than 80 short stories and was said to have written the first short story in Tagalog, “Kung Magmahal ang Makata,” which was published in 1914. He died on Nov. 26, 1936.
