Husband charged for killing wife

PARRICIDE charges were filed in court against a 48-year-old man who stabbed dead his wife in their residence in barangay Punta Princesa, Cebu City.

At least four witnesses executed sworn affidavits against Luciano Traya who was arrested by police for killing his wife Lalaine last Aug. 21.

No bail was recommended.

The couple’s 27-year-old son said Luciano threatened to kill the victim over jealousy.

The victim’s niece said she heard a commotion before she saw the accused stab Lalaine several times.

Other witnesses said the accused told the victim, “Maayo pa ang imong kabit kay pinangga pa nimo (You treat your paramour better than me).”

The accused, armed with a knife, allegedly chased the victim outside their residence.

When he got hold of his wife, the accused allegedly stabbed Lalaine several times in the body.
