Cebu hospital catches fire, floor collapses due to earthquake

MANILA, Philippines – The fifth-floor of the Cebu Doctors University Hospital caught fire while another part collapsed on Tuesday after a 7.2-magnitude earthquake was felt in Cebu City, reports said.

“Part of (the) 2^nd floor of Cebu Doctors Hospital collapsed while part of (the) 5^th floor [caught] fire. Some nurses and patients are outside,” the Philippine Information Agency – Central Visayas said over Twitter.

One video posted online showed nurses, students and patients standing in front of the building while a doctor carried a baby.
