VSMMC holds annual maintenance
The Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) will conduct its annual routine preventive maintenance, scrubbing and cleaning together with the post culture in the Delivery and Labor room, Ward 1, Ward 2 and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit from Oct. 17 to 26.
The hospital will start admitting emergency cases only and direct patients to the delivery room starting today, Oct. 14, to give time for social workers to discharge the remaining patients.
The VSMMC will not be accepting obstetrics cases during the cleaning period. Patients from the southern part of Cebu will be referred to St. Anthony Mother and Child Hospital and Talisay District Hospital, while Eversley Child Sanitarium and General Hospital will take in patients from the northern part of Cebu.
Patients who will not be accommodated in the said hospitals may go to the Cebu City Medical Center.
