Downpour floods portions of Metro Manila – MMDA

MANILA, Philippines – A downpour late Thursday afternoon flooded several areas in Metro Manila, the  Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said.

In a Twitter advisory, the MMDA said Commonwealth Regalado in front of AMA collage has been rendered impassable to light vehicles due to floods.

As of 6:55 p.m. 10-inch floods were recorded at the northbound lane of Katipunan in front of Ateneo.

The northbound lane of EDSA Aurora tunnel at 6:30 p.m. and northbound lane of EDSA Boni had gutter-deep floods.

As of 6:35 p.m., the northbound lane o EDSA-Santolan service road had 36-inch flood waters and was not passable to all types of vehicles.

As of 6:25 p.m., tire-deep flood waters were reported in both directions of C5 Eagle street. It is not passable to light vehicles.
