Young man fatally shot in Talisay

A 24-YEAR-OLD man was shot dead by a still unidentified assailant in barangay Bulacao, Talisay City southern Cebu.

Carl Eric Campo, a resident of barangay Pooc, Talisay, succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds in the body. The victim was declared dead when he was taken to the Talisay City District Hospital.

Police said Campo was driving a motorcycle with plate number 7TC-Q-1931 when he was waylaid in sitio Hawod Tuesday evening.

SPO1 Mikie Espina said there were reports that the man was involved in robberies.

With this, Espina said a background check on the victim will be made to determine the motive of the killing.

A cardboard with words “tulisan ko” was found near the man’s body, police said.  /CORRESPONDENT GABRIEL C. BONJOC
