Businessman freed by abductors in Zamboanga del Sur

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines—A Chinese-Filipino businessman was freed by his abductors on Wednesday.

Chief Insp. Ariel Huesca, spokesman of the Western Mindanao Regional Police, said Lee Tan, a businessman from Pagadian City, was freed in Magsaysay town in Zamboanga del Sur.

Lee, 37, was kidnapped in the same town on Oct. 5.

He is now in the custody of the Anti- Kidnapping Group Office for medical examination and debriefing, according to Huesca.
