Burglars broke into an IT consultant’s house in Quezon City on Sunday and made off with more than P100,000 worth of valuables as its occupants were out attending Mass.

Manuel Ilagan Jr., 33, reported the loss of a laptop valued at P40,000; another laptop worth P20,000; a diamond ring worth P20,000; a pair of earrings valued at P3,000; a diamond bracelet worth P22,000; and a wedding ring valued at P14,000.

The break-in happened at Ilagan’s house in East Fairview, Barangay (village) Fairview after the thieves destroyed the front door. Ilagan discovered the burglary at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday after he came home from attending Mass and found the front door open and his house in disarray.—Julie M. Aurelio
