MANILA—A jeepney driver and a teenager were fatally shot while chatting with a woman inside a parked jeepney in Quezon City on Thursday night, police said Friday.

Both Ruben Reguya Jr., 33, and Adrian Villones, 15, died while being treated at a hospital about an hour or so after the attack, which occurred around 8:45 p.m. on General Avenue in Barangay Bahay Toro.

Investigator SPO1 Cristituto Zaldarriaga said Reguya and Villones were seen chatting with an unidentified woman inside Reguya’s jeepney prior to the attack.

Bacarisas said he had just parked his jeepney beside Reguya’s and was about to alight when the motorcycle zoomed by. It stopped beside his vehicle and one of the men got off, walked toward the other jeepney and fired shots at Reguya and Villones, who were still inside.

The gunman then hopped back on the motorcycle and both he and his companion sped off, Zaldarriaga said.
