DOST to tackle food supplements, herbal medicine in confab

THE Department of Science and Technology in Central Visayas is encouraging schools, companies and organizations to join the lectures on “S&T Conference: Putting Science into Health.”

The lectures will be held on Oct. 3 and 4 at 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the DOST conference room, sitio Sudlon, barangay Lahug, Cebu City.

Topics lined up are: Food supplements and herbal medicine: Real claims or quackery; Student investigatory project on health; Healthy lifestyle and wellness; and beauty and health.

The registration fee for each topic is P600, inclusive of snacks, kits and activity materials. Those who register in all topics will be given a special rate of P2,200.

The activity is in cooperation with the Central Visayas Consortium for Health Research and Development Region 7 and the Confederation of Scientific and Professional Organizations.
